To wrap up our study of Antarctica, we had a visit from Pat Farmer who has visited Antarctica and completed an amazing run from the North Pole to the South Pole. You can find out more about him at : http://poletopolerun.com/pat-farmer/
We dressed warm to hear about Pat's adventures which included involvement in restoration of Mawson's Hut. He even had a piece of the original Hut to touch and see. We also had the privilege of actually touching a piece off an Antarctic iceberg, probably frtozen thousands of years ago.
Here are a couple of samples of our work in Electricity:
Dear Mr Sales and 6S,
ReplyDeleteWow, what an amazing Term you have had. What was your favourite part of the special day when Pat Farmer visited?
I think it would have been so exciting to touch a piece of ice from the original hut.
Would any of you like to go to Antartica?
Keep up the great work,
Mrs Downes
