Film Narratives

We have been going through a process using a range of 21st Century skills to develop a narrative and final product that is designed to evoke emotions in those who watch. Have we been successful?

Have a look at our creations and let us know what you think. Our final products were made using Powerpoint, Movie Maker or iMovie.

Natural and Manmade Disasters

We have been focusing our PBL on Disasters. We have researched and made presentations to the class. Have a look at out personal blogs to see part of the reports.

Several students conducted demonstrations. This was one of the better ones. Well done Julien.

Digital Citizenship

We have been using our blogs for a while now so decided to make some skits to highlight some issues with regard to Digital Citizenship.

Here is a shortened clip of some of our responses:  Clip - click here!

PBL - Are we interested?

Of course we are!

We organised ourselves into groups to explore, discuss, design, construct and test our ideas on making objects to meet the demands of the Amazing Race. Here we are (some of us anyway), doing some discussion, research and planning.

Here are a few pictures related to our HSIE and Science in term 2.

To wrap up our study of Antarctica, we had a visit from Pat Farmer who has visited Antarctica and completed an amazing run from the North Pole to the South Pole. You can find out more about him at : http://poletopolerun.com/pat-farmer/

We dressed warm to hear about  Pat's adventures which included involvement in restoration of Mawson's Hut. He even had a piece of the original Hut to touch and see. We also had the privilege of actually touching a piece off an Antarctic iceberg, probably frtozen thousands of years ago.

Here are a couple of samples of our work in Electricity:
