We organised ourselves into groups to explore, discuss, design, construct and test our ideas on making objects to meet the demands of the Amazing Race. Here we are (some of us anyway), doing some discussion, research and planning.

To wrap up our study of Antarctica, we had a visit from Pat Farmer who has visited Antarctica and completed an amazing run from the North Pole to the South Pole. You can find out more about him at : http://poletopolerun.com/pat-farmer/
We dressed warm to hear about Pat's adventures which included involvement in restoration of Mawson's Hut. He even had a piece of the original Hut to touch and see. We also had the privilege of actually touching a piece off an Antarctic iceberg, probably frtozen thousands of years ago.
